A report from SteveL for mikescatchreport.com

I went out to fly fish at one of our usual spots early this morning. The tide was fairly flat, hovering around half a foot. There were no other fishermen out. I had the entire flat to myself.

I was expecting to hook into
Oi'o but nothing bit the first hour. Instead I hooked into a nice two pound Yellow Spot papio (jack). Following that, I caught an even larger Yellow Spot that weighed around four pounds.

As I walked along the flats I slowly headed further out, following the reef. Then I hook a screamer that ripped out 80yds of backing. It turned out to be a five pound
Oi'o. Later I hooked another fish that turned out to be a two and a half pound bonefish "rat." I called it a day after that. Not a bad way to spend a couple of hours.
