A report from Eric for mikescatchreport.com
I decided to try some fly fishing this morning and got to the park around 7:30am. The tide was coming in so not much time to fish before it got too deep.
I waded to the spot where I had caught a couple bonefish before and about a half an hour went by with no taker so I gave up on the location and slowly made my way down towards the coast.
I made two casts then suddenly I had a fish on that took me into my backing and made three long runs. When I got the fish in close it did not want to surrender and it made a couple of short runs each time I tried to get it close to grab the leader. When I finally got the fish in it weighed 6 pounds 3/4 ounces. A very nice fish.
After three weeks in the Marshall Islands casting for GT's it felt nice to catch an O'io at that weight. My camera got water in it somehow, somewhere, during the trip and by the time I found out everything was toast. So no pictures from my camera but the other people got some of the GT's on a disk so will send it to you with a report when they posts their pictures.
